Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Future Labs ("we", "us") for your use of the WHO I BECOME app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What WHO I BECOME is, and isn't

WHO I BECOME lets you create and talk to an AI simulation of the person you want to become, built from what you tell it. Future You is an AI. It isn't a real person, it can't see the future, and what it says is not a prediction or a promise. It can be wrong.

It is not therapy, medical, legal or financial advice. Don't rely on it for decisions about your health, money, legal matters or safety. Talk to a qualified professional.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line now. In India, call Tele-MANAS on 14416. In the US, call or text 988.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• The app has a free plan with daily and monthly limits, and an optional paid subscription ("Pro").
• Subscriptions are bought and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by their terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• If a free trial is offered, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• We may change prices or plan limits. Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you in advance as the store requires.

4. Your content

You own what you write and say in the app. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the app to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't use it to train AI models.

Content the app generates for you (your Future Self, stories, replies and audio) is yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to:

• break the law, or harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• create content about real people that is sexual, defamatory or invades their privacy;
• try to get around plan limits, safety systems or security, or to access other people's accounts;
• reverse engineer, scrape or overload the service, or resell it;
• impersonate others or misrepresent the AI's output as a real person's words.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". It may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change or be discontinued. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app's content. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & your data → Delete account. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Cancelling a store subscription is separate from deleting your account.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
